"Waiting to Pee" which gained Simon a great deal of notoriety sold after the 2007 RAM Miami show for $30,000.00. "Pee", was the first painting in the series sold. "It was a bit sad to see the painting go, however, it is comforting to know it has become featured in a prominent collection and the the sale will generate more paintings in the continuation of the series."

Jonathan Simon will be involved in Art Basel Miami , The largest International Art  Show in America, the sister event of Art Basel in Switzerland. Art Basel has  been the most important annual art show worldwide for the past 37 years.

Jonathan Simon will be involved with the ATL ARThouse this year.  Sponsored by Atlanta Gallery Association, Atlanta Magazine, Rathman  Enterprises, UBS and more. The featured work will be Angela, represented by  Atlanta Fine Art Gallery, at a modest price of 50,000 dollars.

" The Atlanta Gallery Association (AGA) burst onto the scene in January 2004  when it hosted the wildly successful ATL ARThouse 04, a 16 day citywide art show featuring 70 exhibitions and nine events at multiple galleries and art space locations "

Opening Gala May 5th 7:00 PM,  Black Tie, 175.00 a person. ARThouse 07 is the signature event for AGA and will run from May 6th-28th at "The Castle on Nottingham" 1640 Nottingham Way.

John Pence Gallery's "Water Street" show opens to great reviews. Being involved with this show was a great experience. The painting "Sushi" sold at the opening. I look forward to working with John Pence Gallery in the future.

Jonathan Simon takes creative control of www.jtsimonfinearts.com. My apologies for the lack of up- dates on the website. The previous designer has left the project. However, I will be taking over the website and look forward to the learning curve of this project.

A show that will be show-casing some of the finest artistic talent in America. The show will focusing on the history of the great atelier. Jonathan Simon moves his studio from New York to Atlanta, Georgia. "I have leased a 1,500 sq. foot studio loft near downtown Atlanta. A beautiful space with 16 foot ceilings and great light. I look forward to strengthening ties with Atlanta art collectors, galleries and inspiring young artists."

Jonathan Simon will be teaching two workshops this summer at the Rankin Art Center in Columbus, Georgia.
Each of the workshops will run 3 days. The first runs from August 19-21 and the second from August 26-28.
Both workshops will start at 9:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM.

The workshops will emphasize Figure Drawing from Life. They will cover the block-in method of drawing, structural drawing, Anatomy for artists, and Proportions of the Human body. We will also explore several drawing techniques from the mehthods used by the early masters to more contemporary approaches, with emphasis on materials and methods. The first workshop will be geared toward the beginning artist, and the second for intermediate to advanced artists.

Jonathan Simon is planning a workshop for the summer of 2005 in the Columbus, Georgia area. Drawing the Human Figure from life will be the focus of the workshop. It will cover in detail the block in method of drawing, structure drawing in the human form, human anatomy, modeling light and form, and technique and materials of drawing.The exact time, place and duration of the workshop is still being determined
